Shop Overview	A space where guests can relax and fully enjoy hitsumabushi, Nagoya's famed grilled eel specialty, with seating for single diners to larger groups. Reservations are accepted. We also have a takeout menu that includes our Kinshachi-exclusive unagi inari eel and rice in fried tofu pouches, providing a great way to enjoy these items at home, at picnics—even as a souvenir of your visit here.
Shop Concept	We consider it an honor and a privilege to be able to offer hitsumabushi, a specialty of Nagoya, right at the base of Nagoya Castle. Shop Overview	Renowned Nagoya establishment founded in 1947. Deep-fried cutlets made using carefully selected pork and breadcrumbs from our own ovens. Our red miso sauce is made according to a secret recipe with naturally brewed soybean miso aged for a year and a half, preserving the same original flavor enjoyed since our earliest days.

Our souvenir shop offers Nagoya specialties such as Moriguchi-zuke radish pickles and a variety of other Japanese pickles. Or to fully experience our pickling skills, enjoy sakana kasu-zuke—varieties of fish pickled in sake lees—on the premises.
Shop Concept	Kiyosu Nishi-Biwajima, where Owariya was founded, prospered thanks to the Otai market established there by Tokugawa Ieyasu, sustaining many a dining table around Nagoya Castle as "Owari's pantry" from the feudal Edo period to the mid-20th century. We aim to convey Nagoya's culinary traditions today, 400 years after the Tokugawa clan's move from Kiyosu to Nagoya Castle.
